Growing up I didn’t have much confidence as I do now. I didn’t believe in myself, I didn’t push myself to do better things, and I didn’t achieve the goals that I wanted to achieve at the time. Like some of you, I felt lost, I felt weak, I felt like everything I did or said was wrong, and there was no way I was going to be right. But you see there was those out there who had confidence in me, my mom was one of the major ones, she believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself, my brothers who would always push me to the point where I would have to break my limits and find new ones to conquer, my family who always provided me with the motivation that I needed to get through the tough times, and my friends who never judged me for who I was and allowed me to be myself. You see my confidence wasn’t restored by me, it was restored because of the confidence that others had in me. They taught me to believe in myself, which allowed for me to believe in others, which allowed for me to speak my mind and show people that it’s ok to go through struggles, it’s ok to not be perfect cause no one is, and it’s ok to make mistakes cause we all make them. You see the important lesson in life that I learned is that your confidence is the key to your success. Just have to go find it.
